The long-awaited online training program Smart Driver for Forestry Trucks is finally live, and you can watch it from the convenience of your home.
Reducing fuel consumption and operating costs are two constant challenges for forest truck drivers. For years, drivers working in forestry operations have been asking for guidelines and efficient driving techniques that save fuel and ensure safety and environmental sustainability.
This is exactly why the Office of Energy Efficiency of Natural Resources Canada and FPInnovations designed this interactive training program. The program provides the needed guidelines and techniques and presents all the economic, environmental and safety benefits of professional driving.
Did you know that a 5% reduction in fuel used could save 135 million litres of fuel AND reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 365 million kilograms?
