FPInnovations is accepting applications for testing and certification of ELDs
ELD providers may apply for:
– Initial testing and certification (opportunities for retesting are available)
– Product family evaluation and certification
– White-labelled product evaluation and certification
FPInnovations testing and certification process takes 4 to 6 weeks to complete
As an accredited Certification Body for ELDs, FPInnovations holds the ISO/IEC 17065 accreditation required by Transport Canada to test and certify electronic logging devices.
Transport Canada’s Commercial Vehicle Drivers Hours of Service Regulations requires that all federally-regulated motor carriers be certified to ensure that each commercial vehicle in operation is equipped with a compliant ELD.
To comply with this regulation, ELDs must be verified and certified by a third-party certification body accredited with the ISO/IEC 17065 standard.
