Tissue Track at PaperWeek: a not-to-be-missed event!

PaperWeek Canada and Biofor International 2020, the most important annual conferences and tradeshows serving the pulp/paper and forest products industry, will open February 3, next at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal. Under the theme Bioeconomy: from innovative breakthroughs to new business models, the event will gather participants from all around the world who will have the opportunity to hear and meet with FPInnovations’ team of scientists.

Tissue Track Day

Among the various activities organized by FPInnovations, participants are invited to attend the Tissue Track day, which will be held February 6 as part of the PaperWeek 2020 conference program. Tissue Tracks consists of a full day of world-class presentations organized by FPInnovations, including R&D work on tissue done by FPInnovations and its university partner University of British Columbia (UBC), as well as technical presentations on improve tissue operation by various tissue suppliers. In addition, there will be a session addressing the increased interests in using alternative fibres in tissue making.

A total of 10 presentations divided into 3 sessions will be moderated by FPInnovations experts, with guests from companies such as Kadant, Andritz, Cristini, UBC, Henkel, and more. Here’s an overview of the proposed schedule:

Flash presentations

FPInnovations will also be hosting Flash presentations, that is short interactive sessions of 5-10 minutes each that will take place in FPInnovations’ networking area – located next to the Innovation Alley – during breaks.
