The Woodrise International Congress is technically focused and promotes mid- and high-rise timber construction. In September 2025, FPInnovations, along with international partners from France (FCBA) and Japan (JUBH), hosted the 5th edition of Woodrise in Vancouver, British Columbia. This event was graciously supported by the Province of British Columbia and the Federal Government of Canada.
Woodrise 2025 included plenaries and technical workshops, b2b meetings, an exhibition, and provincial tours to showcase B.C. and Canadian expertise in wood construction. The goal was to drive collaboration and knowledge exchange in innovation, policy, and business development practices to further the sector internationally in building smarter and faster with wood.
Through the above partnerships, Woodrise 2025 in Vancouver successfully:
- Engaged 1068-plus attendees from 30 countries
- Acquired insight from 81 international speakers
- Showcased 67 sponsors and exhibitors (non-profits, industry, government)
- Highlighted B.C. wood construction capabilities through 9 tours led by the Canadian Wood Council in Vancouver and beyond
The next Woodrise International Congress will be hosted by JUBH in Nara, Japan, from October 25 to 29, 2027.
