Did you miss a recent Research Information Sharing and Feedback (RISF) meeting? Would you like to review an FPInnovations webinar that you attended? Or are you perhaps looking for information on a particular topic that would help you better approach a situation in your mill? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, be sure to visit FPInnovations’ online Research Library (library.fpinnovations.ca)!
The Research Library contains searchable access to over 10,000 reports, publications, and recordings covering more than 50 years of research. “Visitors to the online library can find information on a wide range of topics related to forest operations, wood products, pulp and paper, and bio-sourced products,” says Roberta Roberts, supervisor of Information Services at FPInnovations. “The site underwent a major overhaul last year and returned featuring several improvements, including a more powerful and flexible search engine, a quick-start option to easily target searches, and the addition of recorded webinars and videos to the collection.”
Anyone can access the Research Library and a large portion of the collection is searchable by the public; however, some content is available only to FPInnovations members in certain sectors. Because of this, Roberts strongly advises members to complete the quick and easy one-time registration for the library. “Members should always log in before doing a search so that they can see and access all the content available to their membership category,” she adds.
