Technovault is the name of the approach used by the new Technical Assessment team whose mission is to provide independent analysis based on solid scientific, and techno-economic foundations. Its goal is not to promote FPInnovations or any specific technology, product, or process, but rather to provide objective assessments to support informed investment decisions that promote the competitiveness in the sector.
Technovault differentiates hype from scientific reality by examining fundamental principles, past results, and the conditions necessary for success. It also monitors technological advances and evaluates the consistency between advertised promises and available data.
Join us on February 26 for a presentation on the approach and some of the technologies already evaluated (densified wood, lignin in batteries, drone seeding, etc.), as well as a list of other technologies that FPI will be focusing on in the coming months.
