Son principal objectif est de r\u00e9duire la teneur en lignine (ou indice kappa) de la p\u00e2te avant les \u00e9tapes de blanchiment. Son importance r\u00e9side dans sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9liminer s\u00e9lectivement 25 \u00e0 50 % (en une seule \u00e9tape) de la lignine r\u00e9siduelle de la p\u00e2te \u00ab brune \u00bb. Un syst\u00e8me \u00e0 deux \u00e9tapes peut atteindre un rendement de d\u00e9lignification de 50 \u00e0 70 % selon la conception et les conditions d\u2019op\u00e9ration. La quantit\u00e9 de lignine entrant dans l\u2019unit\u00e9 de blanchiment \u00e9tant r\u00e9duite, la quantit\u00e9 de produits chimiques n\u00e9cessaires pour atteindre le niveau de blancheur cible est moindre. Cela se traduit par des \u00e9conomies significatives, l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne \u00e9tant beaucoup moins co\u00fbteux que le dioxyde de chlore, le peroxyde d&rsquo;hydrog\u00e8ne ou l&rsquo;hydroxyde de sodium.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Un autre avantage de la d\u00e9lignification \u00e0 l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne concerne son impact sur la charge en mati\u00e8res organiques du syst\u00e8me de traitement des eaux us\u00e9es. Comme les filtrats issus de l\u2019\u00e9tape ( ou des \u00e9tapes) \u00e0 l&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne sont recycl\u00e9s vers le cycle de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration, moins de mati\u00e8res organiques [g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement quantifi\u00e9es par la demande biologique en oxyg\u00e8ne (DBO), la demande chimique en oxyg\u00e8ne (DCO), la couleur et les halog\u00e9nures organiques adsorbables (AOX)] se retrouvent dans le syst\u00e8me de traitement des eaux us\u00e9es.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Compar\u00e9e \u00e0 la prolongation de la d\u00e9lignification par cuisson dans le lessiveur , la d\u00e9lignification \u00e0 l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne pr\u00e9sente une meilleure s\u00e9lectivit\u00e9 (viscosit\u00e9 plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e pour un indice kappa donn\u00e9), ce qui se traduit par un rendement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9. Cependant, sa s\u00e9lectivit\u00e9 est limit\u00e9e car la d\u00e9lignification \u00e0 l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne g\u00e9n\u00e8re des radicaux libres ind\u00e9sirables susceptibles d\u2019 attaquer la cellulose, entra\u00eenant une r\u00e9duction significative de la r\u00e9sistance de la p\u00e2te, notamment pour des rendements de d\u00e9lignification \u00e0 l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne \u00e9lev\u00e9s. Afin de pallier ce probl\u00e8me, FPInnovations teste les performances d\u2019additifs adapt\u00e9s (par exemple, des catalyseurs ou des pi\u00e9geurs de radicaux libres) pour am\u00e9liorer la d\u00e9lignification \u00e0 l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne des p\u00e2tes de r\u00e9sineux. Un catalyseur \u00e9conomique a r\u00e9cemment \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9 et \u00e9valu\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle pilote chez FPInnovations. L\u2019ajout de ce catalyseur au proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de d\u00e9lignification \u00e0 l\u2019oxyg\u00e8ne, a permis de r\u00e9duire l\u2019indice kappa de 0,5 unit\u00e9 et d\u2019augmenter de 0,4 % la blancheur ISO finale de la p\u00e2te apr\u00e8s blanchiment.
