Ceci entra\u00eene une r\u00e9duction de la fiabilit\u00e9 de ces routes, de m\u00eame qu\u2019une augmentation des co\u00fbts de cycle de vie des infrastructures et une r\u00e9duction de l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la fibre.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Afin de pallier cette probl\u00e9matique, la construction des routes d\u2019avance est l\u2019une des solutions les plus utilis\u00e9es. Cette technique consiste \u00e0 construire la mise en forme de la route et \u00e0 la laisser consolider sur une p\u00e9riode d\u00e9termin\u00e9e afin de r\u00e9duire sa teneur en humidit\u00e9 avant la mise en place des mat\u00e9riaux granulaires de fondation et de surface de roulement.<\/p>\n<p>Bien que cette pratique soit r\u00e9pandue, son efficacit\u00e9 n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 quantifi\u00e9e. C\u2019est dans cette perspective que FPInnovations, en collaboration avec plusieurs membres de l\u2019industrie foresti\u00e8re, a \u00e9valu\u00e9 les avantages techniques, financiers et fonctionnels de cette pratique et, \u00e0 terme, aider \u00e0 construire de meilleures routes \u00e0 moindres co\u00fbts.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Optimiser les co\u00fbts et la performance des chemins forestiers<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Un projet de recherche d\u2019une dur\u00e9e de trois ans a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 sur 22\u00a0sections de routes repr\u00e9sentatives de diff\u00e9rents types de sols et conditions rencontr\u00e9s sur le territoire canadien. Diverses variables pouvant affecter la performance de la technique de construction d\u2019avance ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tudi\u00e9es.<\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats obtenus \u00e0 l\u2019issue de ce projet de recherche d\u2019envergure ont permis de quantifier les avantages tangibles et de valider les avantages de la construction d\u2019avance. En effet, pour l\u2019ensemble des sections \u00e9tudi\u00e9es, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9 que l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de la technique de construction d\u2019avance d\u00e9pend principalement de la qualit\u00e9 du sol support. D\u2019autres facteurs peuvent \u00e9galement affecter l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de la technique de construction de chemins d\u2019avance, notamment la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie et la topographie de la route, les conditions g\u00e9ologiques, les pratiques de construction (compaction, renforcement, s\u00e9chage pr\u00e9liminaire, etc.) et la dur\u00e9e de la consolidation (1 an, 2\u00a0ans, etc.).<\/p>\n<p><em><img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-290477\" src=\"https:\/\/web.fpinnovations.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Road-before-natural-drainage-185x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"185\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.fpinnovations.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Road-before-natural-drainage-185x300.jpg 185w, https:\/\/web.fpinnovations.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Road-before-natural-drainage.jpg 518w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 185px) 100vw, 185px\" \/> \u00a0<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-290479\" src=\"https:\/\/web.fpinnovations.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Road-after-natural-drainage-e1631909895159-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.fpinnovations.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Road-after-natural-drainage-e1631909895159-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/web.fpinnovations.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Road-after-natural-drainage-e1631909895159-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/web.fpinnovations.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Road-after-natural-drainage-e1631909895159-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/web.fpinnovations.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/Road-after-natural-drainage-e1631909895159.jpg 1512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><br \/>\n\u00c0 gauche\u00a0: route avant la consolidation de 12 mois; \u00e0 droite\u00a0: apr\u00e8s la consolidation de 12\u00a0mois<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats ont montr\u00e9 une diminution de la fr\u00e9quence d\u2019entretien, une augmentation de la productivit\u00e9 et de la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 du transport ainsi qu\u2019une am\u00e9lioration du confort au roulement.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Des pratiques gagnantes <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Il ne fait aucun doute que les routes construites d\u2019avance procurent de nombreux avantages \u00e9conomiques et op\u00e9rationnels, sans compter les avantages collat\u00e9raux principalement associ\u00e9s aux op\u00e9rations de machinerie lourde en for\u00eat. Ce projet a permis \u00e0 FPInnovations d\u2019\u00e9tablir une base de donn\u00e9es unique fond\u00e9e sur plusieurs r\u00e9gions et types de sol du Canada. \u00c0 partir de ces donn\u00e9es et r\u00e9sultats, un mod\u00e8le \u00e9conomique a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9 pour permettre aux membres de FPInnovations de d\u00e9velopper des strat\u00e9gies de chemins d\u2019avance qui r\u00e9duiront les co\u00fbts tout en optimisant la performance de la route.
