For People with Assigned Emergency Role

1-  After receiving the report, confirm whether the theft or vandalism is ongoing or has concluded.

2-  Contact RCMP and provide:

  • Location of the incident
  • Nature of theft or vandalism
  • Any known safety concerns

3-  Call FPInnovations’ Emergency Measures Coordinator at 778-731-1610.

4-  Remain available to assist the Emergency Measures Coordinator as needed.

1-  Proceed to the affected area and restrict access to prevent further damage or disturbance of evidence.

2-  Contact UBC Security if needed.

3-  Calmly receive witnesses in a private area, if appropriate.

4-  Request witnesses to complete the “Theft and Vandalism Witness Form”.

5-  Coordinate with the Building Supervisor to:

  • Secure the affected area,
  • Preserve potential evidence, and
  • Perform temporary repairs as needed.

6-  Communicate with FPInnovations management to determine next steps.

7-  When requested, provide RCMP or UBC Security with relevant documentation and information.

1-  Proceed to the affected area.

2-  Review available CCTV coverage.

3-  Assist emergency services by providing:

  • Access to CCTV systems or footage, and
  • Information on building security, access points, or recent maintenance issues.

4-  Coordinate any temporary repairs required.
